Dives on Elba: Scoglio che bara
Depth: 7-35 meters
Difficulty level: hard/medium
Just behind Capo Stella inward Gulf namesake, we find a large boulder that seems to fall down and for this reason is called "Cheating Rock", which, in Elba dialect to cheat means "to fall".
Taking this rock as reference, about 50 meters far from it, at a depth of about 7 meters there is a submerged peak that is the initial side of our diving.
On the west side of the rock there is a wall completely covered with Parazoanthus, and right behind we find a rift that separates the rock from side to side and makes the start of this dive very suggestive.
Diving deeper, close to the bottom we find a funny rock, mushroom shaped, completely covered with large yellow sponges, inhabited by lobsters and colourful nudibranchs.
You may see also grouper, moray eel, octopus, white bream, brown meagre, damselfish and rainbow wrasse.
