Dives in Pianosa: Dive site #SP6
Depth: 0-42 meters
Difficulty: proportional to the sea depth the diver would like to reach
When entering the water at this site, the diver reach a plain at 17 meters depth, which is overgrown by a thick prairie of very well-conserved P.OCEANICA.
When moving in NW-SE direction, the diver will lean out of a vertical wall, which starting at about 19 meters depth goes down and reaches 36 meters depth.
At this depth then, and only for expert divers, the wall gently slopes to its basis at 42 meters depth, showing alternate steps. It would be better for the divers to ascend slowly, following the wall slope, with no need of any decompression-stops.
Even at this site the diver could face remarkable currents, mostly with NW-SE direction, which may increase the degree of difficulty.
