Scuba diving
SCOGLIO CHE BARA
Depth: 7-35 meters
Difficulty level: hard/medium
Stream: little
Visibility: excellent
Just behind Capo Stella inward Gulf namesake, we find a large boulder that seems to fall and for this reason is called "Cheating Rock", which, in Elba dialect cheating means "to fall".
Taking as reference the ground, about 50 meters from it at a depth of about 7 meters there is a submerged cap, initial side of our diving.
On the west side of the rock there is a wall completely covered with Parazoanthus, and immediately after we find a rift that separates the rock from side to side and makes the start of this dive very suggestive. Going deeper on the bottom we will find a funny rock, mushroom shaped, completely covered with large yellow sponges (Genus Axinella), inhabited by lobsters (palinurus elephas)and colorful nudibranchs as Hypselodoris valenciannensis, Hypselodoris Coelestis (Tricolor).
You can see also grouper (epinephelus guaza),see moray eel (muraena helena), octopus (octopus vulgaris), white bream (diplodus annularis), ray's bream (chromis chromis) and other fish (coris julis).
